Last Night in Praha

After just less than a week of running around almost nonstop in Berlin and Prague (plus the heavy drinking at Brent's wedding the weekend before we left), Kendrew and Frandrew planned to take it easy on our last night in Prague so that we would be rested for our trip to Cesky Krumlov.

We decided to just buy a couple of bottles of vino and hang out in our hostel with some of the other people staying there.

We went to the common room and Kendrew overcooked us some gnocchi and pesto for dinner. It was edible enough to supply us with a decent base.

Then we played a rousing game of "Love It or Hate It" (introduced to the crowd by Kendrew, that stud) with several Brits, Portuguese, and other Americans. The game consists of each person choosing a topic. One person reveals his or her topic at a time. The rest of the players then say whether they love or hate the topic and are free to make an argument about why. There is no room for middle ground--you either love it or hate it.

Buncha Brits
Some of the interesting discoveries we made during the game :
1. Brits love David Beckham more than we knew. And we knew they loved him a lot. Several of them even said they would vote for him for political office (a la Arnold Schwartzenegger, another topic we touched upon during the game) and allow him to perform his duties from California.
2. Brits are split on the Royal Family, and they really do either love them or hate them.
3. It is difficult to play a game like that when there is just one girl and about eight guys. Especially when, um, mature topics come up and alcohol is involved.
4. Brits love skinny jeans and Americans hate them. God bless the USA!

By the end of the game, there were about 20 people in the common room.

Americans, Portuguese, and more bloody Brits

Of course, soon after the game, we got kicked out of the common room so we all headed out to the pubs and clubs.
Largest night club in Europe. Five floors of American music and sweaty, creepy, dirty dancing.

Afterwards, things just got weird...

Frandrew was fascinated by Ivo's organic sweater. He rubbed Ivo for about six minutes.

No caption necessary.

Kendrew put Frandrew on a weight-lifting program.

After coming home at around 4am, the 'drews were lying in their bunk bed. (Naturallly, Frandrew had the top bunk.)

After about 10 minutes, the 'drews had an exchange that went something like this:
Kendrew: (Yawn)
Frandrew: You awake, Kendrew?
K'D: Yeah, you?
F'D: Yeah.
K'D: Burrito Bar?
F'D: Yup. Sunrise at the Charles Bridge after?
K'D: Yup.
Both 'drews: Let's go!

Frandrew leading the charge to the Burrito Bar.
Pretty enlightening stuff, we know.

To make a long story short, we ended up seeing the sun rise over Prague for the third night/morning in a row.

"Should we get beer?"
"Uhh...YEAH!

The burritos were really good. Kendrew got through about a quarter of his before he dropped it on the ground. Do they follow the five-second rule in Prague?

Frandrew sneaking onto a boat.

"Hallo." Speaking German in the Czech Republic. We also said "Danke" to everyone...Just trying to be polite.

Trying to sneak into a restaurant's outdoor patio on the water.

"You better lock it up." "You better lock it up!"

Charles Bridge at dawn...again.

Kendrew was contemplating jumping. This is blurry and has Frandrew's hand in it because he was running to go stop him.

Kendrew always has to make a scene.

"I love you, Prague!"

We're really going to miss that city...
